The Fresh Beat Band: Music From the Hit TV Show will be released sometime in January 2012. The soundtrack album is scheduled to feature their hit singles, including "Great Day", the theme song, "Here We Go", "Bananas", "A Friend Like You", and "Just Like a Rock Star".
Three singles were released to iTunes; "Great Day" was released February 2, 2010, "Here We Go" was released June 28, 2011, and "A Friend Like You" was released September 13, 2011.
The show's main characters are[3]:
There are also four children known as "The Junior Beats" who are essentially the child equivalent of their grown up counterparts. All can sing and dance, and dress as a corresponding character. They are in many of the episodes, but each episode's focus rarely features them in the main plot.
During the buildup to the show's debut, the band was initially advertised as The JumpArounds. Commercials promoting the band under that name were in heavy rotation on Nick Jr. prior to the series debut. The change occurred approximately in mid July 2009. The name was revealed on the Nick Jr. website, then made its debut on television.
Due to the success of the show, The Fresh Beat Band went on a small mini promotional tour making appearances at charity events and theme parks such as Sesame Place.
On July 7, 2011, the band made an appearance on The View to perform their single "Here We Go".
The band was originally supposed to return to New York City to perform at the Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day as part of the 16th annual tennis festival. The event ended up being canceled due to Hurricane Irene.
On September 24th, the band performed at Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play Concert in Washington DC.
On November 24th and 25th 2011, the band returned to New York City to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and teamed up with Jason Mraz and Toca Rivera for a performance at Carnegie Hall.
The Fresh Beat Band will hit the road in February 2012 for the first time ever on a 15-week nationwide concert tour that will hit all major cities including NYC, LA, Chicago, and more. Cast members Kiki (Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer), Shout(Thomas Hobson), Marina (Tara Perry), and Twist (Jon Beavers) will perform songs from Seasons one, two and three of the live-action series.
The tour was announced via Facebook by Tara Perry (Marina) and Thomas Hobson (Shout).
